Public Eye handled the PR for all of The Old Vic’s theatre productions from 2007 and throughout 2008. Prior to this, Public Eye had worked on the publicity for a variety of their shows including the much celebrated production of ALADDIN starring Sir Ian McKellen as Widow Twankey, which premiered in their first season as a new producing company.
More recently, Public Eye worked on Matthew Warchus’ award winning revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s THE NORMAN CONQUESTS. The trilogy was presented in the Old Vic’s specially transformed auditorium, which recreated the intimate ‘theatre-in-the-round’ space that the plays were originally written for. The production, which starred Amelia Bullmore, Jessica Hynes, Stephen Mangan, Paul Ritter and Amanda Root, transferred to Broadway where it won a Tony Award for best Play Revival in June 2009.
